Preteridea is a design studio in Suzhou, China. Everything we ship is something we needed first. That's the whole method: build for ourselves, polish until it's worth sharing.
preter- + idea
Preter- is Latin for "beyond". An idea, taken past itself. Read it preh-ter-i-DEE-a — stress the fourth syllable.
破格思序 — the name on our Chinese license — means the same thing, our way.
